20 weeks == Half Way!

I'm 20 weeks today, that's half way through my pregnancy! 4.5 months in other words. It's odd, because still so often I don't feel pregnant. So to think I'm halfway done is weird! But the baby's been kicking and moving that I can feel more often, so that's good. I realized yesterday that the baby's only going to get stronger, and s/he already got me good in an ouchy place (don't know if it was an organ or maybe my surgery line inside). So stronger is going to be more painful at time too. Uh oh. But good for the baby.

As of my last doctor's appointment the baby's heart beat was in the high 140s, and the baby was right on for size and weight for a Sept. 2nd due date. So good! And my fluid levels were good too. The ultrasound from the week before couldn't tell if the umbilical cord is two or three vessels however, so I'm going to have to get a more specific one done just so we know if I'll routinely need non/stress tests in my last trimester or not. But there's still a little time to get that figured out.

No progress on the nursery yet, but the theme is officially chosen. It's Classic Pooh Sage from Crown Classics. Which is, of course, discontinued. Mom's tracking down as much of it as she can so if people want to buy from it they can simply contact her to get a piece easy.

Also, the friends and the family baby showers have dates, locations, and hostesses. Woo! I still have to get on the whole Lamaze and other pregnancy related classes thing though. Find them, sign up, whatnot.... And pick a pediatrician, and a day care center.... At some point it'll all get done, one way or another.

Oh! But another of my cousins' are pregnant. I'm so excited! Only about 8 weeks behind me, and they live nearby! So happy :) For us all. It actually makes the loss of my other one seem like it's okay too.

So yeah, 20 weeks along and things are good right now. I'm not sick, I'm not congested with allergies, I'm not having to sleep 10 hours a night, or even get up in the middle of the night (well except for the last two nights). I am having hormonal side effects, but nothing severe or overly intense, just out of the ordinary for me. About a week ago the everything-pisses-me-off stage seems to have ended. My last round of that lasting four and a half days. Whew! Since then I've had three bouts of crying over sad things that I normally wouldn't have gone to tears over. But I'm okay. Still barely showing. Which I still find so weird too.

I really thought pregnancy would be more obvious than it's been. *shrugs* I know, I know: wait until I'm 6 or 7 months along!

Easter Happies

Easter! Yay, happy :) Though I *still* haven't put up my Easter stuff around the house. That's okay, 'cause the point of this post is that I just realized a minute ago that NEXT year, *I'll* be making an Easter basket! YAY!

I can feel the baby!!!

I can feel the baby!! I'm so excited! :D:D:D

This is the fourth time I've felt this. Two were last week, Wed and Th I think, the third time was last night in the theater. It's a weird pressure like feeling, like something is trying to push out from my abdomen in one spot. When I touch it, it feels solid, like I don't want to push on it cause it won't give unlike elsewhere if I pushed on my stomach I would push in.

BUT TODAY, I also felt a flutter between that pressure ungiving spot and my skin! That's when I know for sure. I've felt two more sensations over that spot since typing. A weird one I can't quite describe, and another flutter. It's not stomach/intestine stuff cause those feeling happen elsewhere.

Oh! Another flutter! :D

Public Announcement: I'm Pregnant!

15 weeks today. I was going to post this last week (or even on week 13, the end of the first trimester I think), but things got in the way. Well, just one...

For those who knew, and haven't been contacted yet, I'm having only one baby. It's not twins. No more public information on that.

But as for the rest, here's answers to the most common questions, comments, and thoughts I've gotten!
- Yes, I'm excited! :D
- I'm due September 2nd.
- I'm not going to find out boy or girl, I'm going to wait until the birth.
- Ashley or Amanda for a girl. Ian Michael for a boy.
- I used a donor.
- IUI, not in vitro. No octo-Mom here!
- I had evening-sickness for several weeks. But it's pretty much over now, maybe once every other week or so.
- Only craving-like symptoms I've had have been for meat. Doesn't much matter: beef, chicken, tuna, just - MEAT!

The severe tiredness has also passed. Though I still need about 9.5 hours of sleep and more rest.

The biggest complaint I've been getting is about waiting to find out the gender. Yellow and green are gender-neutral! Red too. And the nursery theme is Classic Winnie the Pooh. So there's plenty that can be bought without knowing the gender! Geez. There's also something called a return policy.

So I'm back to super excited. YAY! Doctor's appointment tomorrow. Which is good.

Let the comments commence!
