What is a better term for “know-it-all” that does not carry negative connotations with it? Something that doesn’t make you think “smart aleck”, “wise guy”, “smarty-pants”, or “smart @$$”.
I’m looking for a term to sum up the following:
I love knowing things. Whether its fun factoids, useless old trivia, or actual important information. I’m inquisitive and nosy, and much of the time I want to know the whys. I like to investigate my why questions, especially when they push up against my instincts. I’ve found it enjoyable to teach others, to help bring them up to my level of knowledge in a way that helps them learn. And I’ve found it’s much easier to learn more myself if I admit when I don’t know things.
