Meant to post last month (mid to late Feb) that my last little cactus – and I do mean little – has died. I bought it, and it’s 3 friends, all in one pre-planted SouthWest decorated pot, while I interned at Bioshphere 2 in 1998.
The first died almost immediately. The second wasn’t long for this world. But the other two I was able to keep alive for a good long time!
The third died due to the trip from Massachusetts to Michigan in 2003 when I moved. I tired to keep them safe and well, but only managed to keep one.
It was 19 years old. I don’t know if that’s a good long age for a mini-cactus “in captivity”. But, I will miss it. *sad sigh*
