DIY is easy

Just fixed the slow draining problem in my sink. Took all of 5 minutes (probably less). I simply pulled the drain stopper out (YUCK, UGH) and cleaned it, took a wire coat hanger from my closet and bent it kinda straight and stuck it down into the drain pipe using the still kinda jaggedy bent end to dig into the clog and pull it up and out. Took a few tries, but the clog was not nearly as far down as I expected, only about two inches, and it was MUCH smaller than I expected! (Based on online articles, I was prepared for a one to three foot long hairy gunky mess.) It was much less gross than the stuff clinging to the sides of the drain stopper too.

Geez, it’s taken me longer to write this post than it did to fix the slow drain!
