On the way to the dealership this morning I felt 3rd gear starting to go.
Dealership confirmed: the transmission needs replacing. It’s metal grinding metal in there right now.
*sigh*
Also, it could “drop out” on me at any moment. No leaving the city with Midnight. Take it easy on the transitions and hope 2nd and 3rd gear hold out until Monday afternoon. Or maybe I’ll just not drive above 15 mph for the whole weekend?
