Solar Eclipse To Totality Video!

This is crazy! So awesome! First the shadow of the Moon “descends” in the sky, then the Sun shrinks.

In the middle of the video you can even see a black spot of the Moon against the Sun. (I’m sure the apparent sun ring is because of the video camera trying to adjust for the odd light conditions, that’s not how solar eclipse totality looks to the human eye)

Warning: You may want to turn off the sound until about 1:30 in the video.

Well done, Alaska Air. Well done, indeed!

Alaska Airlines Solar Eclipse Flight #870
How’s this for inflight entertainment? We adjusted Flight #870 from Anchorage to Honolulu on March 8, 2016 just so our passengers could catch the solar eclipse from 35,000 feet….
