Got to pay $95 to be told it will cost as much to repair the fridge as to replace it. (Would cost $300 to find out where the Freon leak is at, then later another possibly $500 to actually fix, as likely the compressor has also been compromised by the leak)
Apparently this problem is very unlikely in my type (top freezer) and age (3 1/2 years old) of fridge, but not unheard of. Except in the last year and a half it’s become a common finding in Frigidaire’s….
And it was in 2010 when refrigerator manufacturers stopped providing 5 year warranties for full sizes refrigerators. 1 year only.
