Sewing Scissors

Odd mindset I’m in, wouldn’t normally share this, but I get the fabric scissors are NOT for paper or anything else.

Sorry Ted. It says right here: Using her fabric scissors for cutting paper IS grounds for divorce.

I have to admit I’ve had crazy tirades about this!

I know the feeling well. Fabric scissors are for fabric, craft scissors are for crafts, kitchen scissors stay in the kitchen and out shears/scissor are for outside and never should any of these trade places with the others. It’s a pet peeve my family always forgets.

More than a pet peeve, it’s a rule for a reason! Especially with Kitchen scissors, that crosses the germ line too.

As for never shall they trade places, in my family scissors can be down graded until no longer useful. Fabric -> craft/paper -> kitchen -> trash. But otherwise, yes, may NOT cross purposes

I realized this morning that Nana (Bonnie’s Mom) actually had even more scissor rules. She had a pair of scissors that were only for silk. And then another 2 or 3 just for other fabric.
