I am thankful to have a House I can go to where I always feel better when I leave. Every time I’m grumbling and don’t want to go, it’s always worth it. Something in the message or song resonates and gives me what I need. Every time I serve it’s more fun or useful than I expect. Sometimes going is simply a pause, a needed rest. Sometimes I even arrive joyful and that feeling is amplified to others!
Once in a while it’s days like today when I’m just worn, and it seems like neither service nor sermon makes the difference I need, and then one person appears from no where and single-handedly lifts my spirits with action then refuels my energy with a complement meaningful to me. For that person, for this place, for God. I am very very thankful.
