Weekend before last I got some advice from a Mom of three: wait until Amber’s older (5+) to have another and she’ll adore the baby. Said Mom has two “older” kids, one of which is heading into their tweens, and a two year old. She’s also a pediatrician.
Then this weekend I met a family with two kids about 7 and 9, and a baby. And sure enough, the older kids loved on that baby, even the boy who seemed to show no interest in the rest of his family.
After weekend before last I’m feeling better about “having” to wait to have a second baby. After this weekend I’m feeling very hopeful about it too. Though that may also be ’cause I got a nice baby-fix in holding said baby too. :)
