Here’s what I did the last week and a half of September.
I’d been wanting to get the garage organized since I moved in. Last year I got the first two 2x4s, on the left in the pictures, up on the garage wall and put up a bunch of tools. But that was as far as I got.
So what got me actually doing this? Mice. That’s what pushed the garage up to near the top of my priority list.
Now a LOT of stuff is gone. YAY. And pretty much every thing is organized! DOUBLE YAY! Just three boxes of books (hiding behind the car) that I have left to go through and donate/recycle. I donated, recycled, trashed, and gave away on the side of the curb soooo much. A few things made it into the house too. Got all sorts of hooks, and even a shelf, up. What’s weird is that it doesn’t seem like I earned much space in the garage doing all this. Until of course I walk around and realized I CAN walk all around in the garage and reach everything!
No more mice anymore. And I didn’t have to kill any of them (him? Might have been only one). Since they were just moving in, it seems removing all the nice places for them got them looking elsewhere. :)
