How We ?

The patriotism and logical-morals of the Japanese always amaze me. I have Much respect and gratitude for anyone selfless like this. But it seems that country’s population is full of such people. And ours? Well…. I like to think ours would be too, if needed….

Doesn’t matter where your from, a good person is always appreciated, but in Japan the make a point to tell their kids about them, their sacrifice, and that they should be imitated. The bad are publicly embarrassed and shunned normally, instead of put on TV every night and their lives glorified. But even Japan has its own problems with gangs, drugs, and violence. And these kinda of people are here too, just you don’t hear about them because the news won’t shut up about the bad and Snooki/Paris/Mr. Sheen/ ect.

These are probably people who grew up on the actual first person accounts of the A bombs we dropped during WWII. Yet they are willing to step up and make a difference by helping with this clean up. Not sure that there are many (if any) US citizens who would do so. Sad but true.

Janie: That’s where my mind is at. I want to believe we have people like that too, but I’m afraid that we don’t have enough.
