Eclipse Recap

Did you miss the total Lunar Eclipse on the Winter Solstice in 2010? Well here’s the first half of it compressed into 1.5 minutes:

I’d like to note that while this occurred on the day of the solstice, it was over 13 hours before the actual event of the solstice itself occurred.

    Our local skies were completely cloudy the night of the eclipse, so this is as close to seeing this one as I can get.

    Heh, yeah. Our skies were hazy, so I could see the light of the moon but not detail. I also was sleeping a few hours at a stretch!
