What’s Out There

This article says First Truly Habitable Planet Discovered, Experts Say, but that sounds like a headline I’ve heard before. And like every time a new release came out saying “Water on the Moon!” and I was like, didn’t we know that two years ago? Anyway, maybe this really is a habitable planet (for humans). But I KNOW it’s not the first we’ve found in the habitable zone, nor the first with possible Carbon/Oxygen or Water. We shall see.

Oh hey! That’s Gliese 581 again! I know that system. It’s had a lot of potential over the years. Sweet.

Lol, and after 11 years of watching, they say “Given the relative ease of finding this planet, 10 to 20 percent of all stars may have potentially habitable planets… There could be tens of billions of these systems in our galaxy.”

Relative ease huh? Detection equipment must be getting incredibly better!

And on the awesome/scary science side of things: Cell Reprogramming is a reality now. Thanks to my Alma mater, of course ;)
