Happy Vernal Equinox! It's Spring! As much as I love Winter, I do enjoy Spring too. I was thinking the other day, here's how I would qualify the seasons in simple terms:

Winter: Beautiful
Spring: So Nice
Summer: Ugh, too hot
Autumn: Pretty

The word wonderful would be through around in there too. And gorgeous. Many words are interchangeable for Winter, Spring, and Fall. But non for Summer! Just really can't handle it.

Anyway!

My neighbors across the street and I just had a Get-to-Know-the-Neighbors open house at my house. And it went VERY well! After a slow start, no one showed up for over an hour, we had settled in to just be us and maybe one other family showing up later. But then people started coming. Lots of people! In fact, half of the invited households came! And one of those that didn't was because of a wedding. A great success! Especially since everyone had a good time and thanked me for doing this. Some in the neighborhood who hadn't met yet, after years, met too. Which was part of the purpose of this also. And everyone left with smiles! We're planning to do a Summer cookout block party too. Yay! I'm just happy it seems we'll be able to build a real neighborhood, and that there are such nice/great people in it!
