Layout of the Forward Lounge
Priscilla looked at the double doors made to look wooden, with a circular
glass window containing the UFP symbol on it in each door.
"Looks the same so far," she commented.
Yuri stepped forward, causing the doors to open. "Are you ready for this?" he
asked.
Priscilla took a semi-deep breath and walked through. The sight that greeted
her was impressive. She let out a whistle in reflection of that opinion.
"Yes," Yuri began.
"They did a great job with this," both said together.
Priscilla looked up and turned around to try and see better. What was
formerly the Nine Forward officer's lounge, now looked down on the mostly
unchanged Ten Forward lounge. The only difference on the deck ten level was
two sets of stair cases, one curving along the opposite side wall up to the
deck nine level and one spiral set in the middle of the lounge rising to an
almost pedestal type seating area. There was no separation between the
windows of the deck nine level, which curved outward towards their bottom to
meet the top of the deck ten windows, which curved back in from their top.
Together they made for an incredible view port. The rest of the deck nine
level formed a deep U shape balcony around the lounge.
"Performances in here will be very impressive," Yuri commented.
"No," Priscilla corrected him, pointing to the pedestal and U-ring, "the
acoustics have been ruined. We'll have to have another area turned into a
concert hall." She thought for a moment. "We have enough room on the ship. We
could even make it permanent. That would be nice."
