Scott's parents are both agricultural workers in scotlad. He has no siblings. Other family member of note: Montgomery Scott, Uncle, Serial Number SE197-54T. USS Enterprise, NCC-1701.

Pre-Academy Life:
Being born in Scotland was not a bad thing, at least not initially. Being born to the parents that he had been was not bad either. Both Charlotte and William worked the lands as agricultural experts. They both carried the intelligence and work ethic that had become signatures of their family. Though this too was not the defining aspect of Scott's young life. What had been the defining moment was the first day he met his uncle. Montgomery Scott, Chief Engineer on the Original Enterprise.

Mr Scott or Scotty as he was called by friends and family, took a liking to Scott in the early years. To this day the words "Ya picked a good name fer tha lad. A mighty fine name indeed" ring as if they were the first words ever spoken to Scott. After dinner each night, the stories were told and his Uncle's visgae began to grow for family member to rolemodel.

Up until Scott's 18th birthday he studied in preparation for entering the Starfleet Academy. It had been his life goal and one, infact, that he was quite good at. For years he had excelled at Math and Science, supplementing what he learned in school with what his Uncle called "the reality of math when ya need it". His mind excelled in theoretical physics and starfleet mechanics.

Starfleet Academy:
When the day fatefully came for his entrance into Starfleet Academy, he was personally greeted by the Dean, as well as many of his teachers. They were all eager to see what he had to offer and if he was "as good as the other Scott". This is when the rolemodel of his Uncle started to become the legend. The man who had no equal. Many had passed between these doors but none could compare to him.

Through his first 3 years he excelled as the teachers and many of his family had planned. Math and Science were his fortes as well and engineering and theoretical science.

His forth year was when the issues began, as he started to be tested, by everyone and anyone. Everyone wanted to be better than the second coming of Scott, and the pressure began mounting. Working harder and harder it appeared that he would be able to out excel the rest of the student but the stress was too much to bear and one day he stopped showing for classes. It wasn't until the school forcefully opened his dorm room did they find him grinding away at the Rubarian Quantification. A mathematical problem that had baffled his Uncle for years. As they finally got over to him and were about to remove him from his seat he sat back, a smile on his face, as well as the days without sleep were apparent. He had solved it... The legend became his goal, he had to be better than the legend.

Upon psychological evaluation Scott was shown to have never lapsed in anything other than his grasp of time as he had completely lost himself in the problem. With the ok from the psychologist he returned to classes, and the race was on. Everything he did now was a quest, a goal. He Uncle had not finished in the top ten of his class, but he would.

Scott graduated a year later, 9th in his class.

Starfleet Career:
Scott has served as an assistant engineer on numerous vessels. In that time he has field refitted multiple engine designs, with the ships usually coming back to dock with a better matter efficiency than they had had when he arrived.

Recently, after his time on the USS Bismark, he heard of a position of Chief Engineer opening on the USS Griffin. With application sent that evening he had heard word that he would be transfered in the next week. He would be a Chief Engineer...exactly 2 weeks soon into his career than his Uncle.
